Synopsis

When their Army buddy Eddie Smith is killed in the trenches of World War I, bumbling soldiers Stan and Ollie promise to find his baby daughter's grandfather. Back home after the war, their well-meaning quest to reunite the child with her family leads to a comedy of errors involving mistaken identities, disrupted weddings, and an accidental bank robbery charge. Their misadventures prove that sometimes the road to good intentions is paved with the most hilarious disasters.
